Thinking about doing Animal Assisted Activities and Therapy with your dog at nursing homes, hospitals, schools and more?
Learn about this wonderful field and take a partial pre-test with your dog to see if the two of you are candidates yet. $39

Instructor: Cherie Maitland  
    While Cherie is not currently a Therapy Dog Evaluator, she is an AKC Canine Good Citizen
    Evaluator. Many of the Therapy Dog Evaluations include the majority of the 10 items from the
    CGC Test. She has passed the Delta Society Evaluation with 3 of her wonderful dogs, and
    has taken 2 through Lend A Heart's evaluation process. She started visiting with her
    registered Therapy Dog Pepper in 2009. She has gone with either Pepper, Bear or Lilly, to
    convalescent hospitals, elementary schools, library reading programs with kids, retirement
    living communities and memory care units. As of Summer 2011, Cherie began training to
    become an evaluator for Delta Society.


Preparing & Training for Therapy Dog Visits:  
  • June 2 - 23, Sat 2:30 - 3:30pm

After the group Introduction class or your own private research or lesson, train your dog
to pass your organizations Therapy Dog requirements test. Learn more about what it
takes for you to be a good handler and Team Member! Desensitize your dog to meeting
lots of strangers, other dogs, being around wheelchairs, loud noises etc . . .

TTouch is coming to Our Furry Friends Training Center in the format of a small group workshop!  Learn how to enhance the
human-animal bond. Improve the performance and well-being of your companion animal friend. You will also learn to alleviate
minor behavioral issues without fear or force. TTouch is not massage therapy. It is an animal behavioral method that stimulates
the function and vitality of the cells and activates the unused neural pathways to the brain to make positive changes in your
companion animal.  $49

Strengthening the Bond with TTouch: Dates to be Announced
This Next Step class for TTouch will review the basic touches, include a relaxation session for you and your dog, and include
some problem solving techniques using the TTouch method.  Come with questions and we can do the work and see what
exciting things can happen. $33

Instructor: Victoria Swiger is a certified Tellington TTouch Practitioner I and a retired certified Veterinarian
Assistant. She has been working with and training animals for over 20 years.
